Hi! My name is Isabel (nickname), and I am passionate about all things running-related! I’ve been running since middle school and off and on throughout college. I finally made up my mind after giving birth in April 2011 to take my running to the next level. After taking several months off to recuperate from delivery-related complications, I’ve dedicated myself to becoming the best that I can possibly become! Everyday is a blessing, a gift, and I believe you should live it to the fullest! I thank my family, my friends, Brooks, my fellow Brooks IDers, and GU for giving me the courage and motivation to the go the extra mile and to get back up again after I fall.
Community Involvement:
Host of Virtual Miles for Tripp (December 2012).
Organizer of the Adventure Runners (August 2012-current). I maintain the website and Facebook page, engage our members and fans, handle member applications, facilitate runs through event organizers, maintain open lines of communication with sponsors, host group runs, mentor newer members, and organize group volunteer/fundraising days.
Brooks ID member (2009-current).
Atlanta Rambassador for Hot Chocolate 5k/15k, Ram Racing series (2012-2014). I spread the yummy, sweet goodness of running via the platform of the Hot Chocolate 5k/15k, inspiring walkers and new runners to get movin’ and seasoned runners to push it to the next level!
GU athlete (2012-current). Proudly representing a product I loved from the moment of conception!
Co-Organizer of Adventure Runners (2010-July 2012). Assist in maintaining the website, field questions, assist in approving/disapprove member applications, create/host group runs, mentor newer members, and organize group volunteer days.
Back on my Feet Atlanta member (2012). I handle various aspects of social media, including twitter, Facebook, and blogging.
