I’ve been running for over 10 years.  Thanks to Athlinks, I have a record of every race (159 races) that I’ve done.

I also have a record of my PRs in all race distances.

Athlinks-2.jpgWhat is Athlinks?  It is a database that houses results for all athletes.  These include pretty much all timed endurance sports (running, swimming, and triathlon).

I don’t know how long I’ve had my account.  It is a FREE account so if you haven’t set one up yet, do so right now.  You can sign up with an email address, Facebook, or Google Account.

With Athlinks:
1. See your most recent race results and your upcoming races.  This is in the Overview tab.
2. You can check your race results.  All of these races are listed in chronological order so the latest one is on top.  This is in the Results tab.
3. Search and be friends with other runners.  This is in the Following tab.
4. See how you did compared to your friends that also ran the same race.  This will be shown by either a “Win” or a “Loss”.  This is in the Rivals tab.

5. Find all of your personal records.  This is in the Statistics tab.

I use Athlinks mostly to keep track of my races and my PRs.  Maybe once in a while I’ll also check out how many wins or losses I have compared to my friends.  In my case, I have more losses than wins.  🙂  I also like filtering by race distance or a specific race and compare how I did.

Here are my results from the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle beginning in 2006.

There is also an Athlinks App you can download to your phone.

I am pleased with my experience with Athlinks.  It has been a positive one since the beginning.  It is FREE and EASY.  <<Nothing to lose.  If you don’t have an account, set one up right now.  Don’t forget to follow me on Athlinks.

I’m linking up with Running on Happy and Fairytales and Fitness for Friday 2.0.

  1. I have been running for years, and I just found Athlinks this year. I really like it!! How did I race for so long without ever knowing about it?

    • I am glad you found it. It is a cool feature with lots of interesting information.

  2. I have used it in the last, although not recently. I’ve never actually signed up for an account but the last time I used it, probably a couple of years ago, most of my info was there.

I need to check out the app!

    • The app is convenient to have on your phone.

Make sure to set up an account so all of your information is consolidated and in one place. You can find some very interesting data in it.

    • Can you imagine all of the useful and interesting race information you’ll find when you set up an account? 🙂

  3. You know what’s funny? Thanks to Athlinks, I saw my times for races I FORGOT I RAN! They were pre blog races and like pre “take a picture of everything” races so it makes sense I forgot about them.

    • It is pretty cool. That is how I found from races from when I started running.

  4. Athlinks is a great site with so much data! I like looking back on repeat races and seeing the progression over time!

  5. I’ve been on Athlinks for years, which is great because I have races from a long time ago there. Link up with me!

    • That is how I found my races from when I started running in 2005. It is cool to see the races I’ve done and see how some are not around anymore. Memories.

    • I agree! I also like seeing everything in one place (I have similar data on my blog) and check out specific races or race distances.

  6. I love Athlinks but it’s missing a lot of my races. Probably because I started so long ago before things were so computerized Many of my smaller races from the 90s and early 2000s aren’t listed.

    • I know you can search for them and then claim your results. I have found that their Help Desk is also helpful. They helped me add race results from a few years ago.

  7. I discovered Athlinks a few years ago and was so thrilled to find old race results there – it’s a great database.

    • I know what you mean. I remember when I set up my account I was happy to see my race results in one place versus in a spreadsheet.

  8. I’ve heard so many great things about Athlinks! I just signed up, but it’s not finding any races for me to claim. Does it take awhile?

    • Glad you set up your account. It shouldn’t take awhile. I found 2 races for you – Twin Cities Marathon in 2002 and 2003. I am assuming that is you since I read in your blog that you ran those marathons. Start there then search for other races you’ve done and take it from there. I hope that helps!

Thank you for your comment!
