Happy Tuesday and welcome to another edition of Tuesday Topics! I am excited about tomorrow. I may not be running but I am looking forward to see how my friends celebrate Global Running Day.

This year Global Running Day is Wednesday, June 3rd. I am not planning to run that day. I checked my running schedule and Wednesday will be a rest day for me.
I ran Monday and today. I am tempted to run tomorrow too. Maybe just one mile?
Rock ‘n’ Roll usually has great sales for their upcoming races, but who knows when races will start happening again. There are races listed on the website (Chicago will be in Judy but I doubt that very much). I did sign up for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Running VR Club. Sign up for virtual races/events/challenges (FREE) to win some sweet prizes and to redeem points that you earned .
I did not know this but you can also sign up for challenges in the Garmin app. The challenges are also for walking and for cycling. You bet I signed up! You get points after completing a challenge. What can you get with the points? I don’t know and at the moment don’t really care. I just want to run. 🙂
With no races to train for, right now I need all of the motivation to continue running. So far I am doing really good and I am very happy about it. Summer is coming and it will get even more HOT. You’ll probably hear me complain about the hot weather.
Yes! Just one mile tomorrow – I think that’s a great idea.
I read on Lisa’s post about Brooks Running virtual 5k, so I signed up for that. In the US you have so many options, I love that!
Yes there are lots of options. Unfortunately I did not make the time for it and I did not run. 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
I will definitely be out there some time tomorrow. Probably just 3 miles.
That is great! I feel like 3 miles is just the perfect distance for a run.

My motivation is just to maintain my base. I’m running tomorrow. As I keep saying, not because it’s global running day, just because that’s the way the week worked for me.

Me neither. I just happened to see it because I was looking to see if they were offering any discounts/sales for Global Running Day.
It’s definitely warming up…70F and 79% humidity at 5:45 when I was running this morning. There was a great breeze (aka, wind), so it felt perfect (to me LOL).
The humidity is the worst!
I have planned a virtual relay race for our MRTT group!

No plans to run because of a sore shoulder but that RnR VR club sounds interesting even though virtual running is not my thing
Honestly, it isn’t really my thing either. I think I’ve done one but that’s it. I didn’t see the point of them. Obviously things are very different now. No races and nothing to train for and I had no desire to run. The various challenges and virtual races is what has kept me motivated to run.
It’s Global Running Day so you’ve got to run, even if it’s just a quarter mile. 😉 I can’t run but I did get up super early to walk five miles before it gets too hot – gotta celebrate any way I can.

I did run! I’m training for my ultra, so the trail run I had planned worked out well for this!
