This week’s Tuesday Topic is: If you could run anywhere in the world, where would you run? You can write about this topic or feel free to post any running related blog post. Remember to link up with Kim and Zenaida! Visit at least two of the other linked posts – the more the merrier! Remember to come back for later linkers!
This is a FUN topic! I cannot wait till it is “safe” to travel again. My last trip was in late February to Atlanta to run the Atlanta Half Marathon. Hard to believe that was almost 8 months ago.
Let’s see, if I could run anywhere in the world, where would I run?
Hawaii-I’ve always wanted to vacation there too. I was planning to run the Kona Half Marathon this year. I almost signed up for it. Glad I didn’t because, well, it was cancelled.
Greece-Everything there looks so beautiful. It is on my bucket list of places to travel. Why not run there too?
New York-Maybe one day I will run the NYC Marathon? I’ve heard great things about this race. Everyone that has run it highly recommends it. Yesterday I did a Peloton 45 minute NYC Marathon Simulation Run and it was exciting to listen to Robin describe the course. There were a few times I stopped because I was actually envisioning myself running the race and was savoring the moment.
Paris-Another place I’ve been wanting to visit to see the Eiffel Tower. I know there are other things to see but that is the first place I want to visit.
Africa-I want to run with elephants, zebras, and giraffes. I know it cannot be done but in a way that sounds like fun. Have I told you my favorite Disney movie is “The Lion King”?
Italy-I’ve been there once during a cruise but did not run there at all. Time to go back there! I would probably eat all of the wonderful food there too.
I don’t have many travel ambitions at this point in my life, since between school and shared parenting my stepkids keep us pretty close to home. But when travel opens up again I can tell you that we will be putting in some serious beach time. Running wise, that means just a short run on the beach each morning at sunrise, and then straight into the ocean afterwards to cool down.
Yes to beach time!! ☀️
Ok we need to plan a trip together. I want to run in all the same places.
I would love that Peleton run…the nYC Marathon was amazing.
Let’s do it!
Don’t write off those giraffes and zebras just yet! I run in a place called Mokolodi which has those animals (all wild) roaming around and on our last run there we spotted giraffes, zebras, warthogs (Hello Pumba!) as well as lots of monkeys and baboons. So if you’re ever here for a visit, we will definitely go for a run there.
me too! You seem to have the perfect combination of city and nature. I’m going to be singing the Lion King soundtrack all day now thanks to you both
Haha! I’ll be singing along too, LOL!
It means no worries….
I have the CD and would listen to it all of the time in my car. My new one doesn’t have a CD player. ☹️
OMG! For real? You just made my day. 🐘🦓🦒
Well you know which on that list I’m biased toward 😀 but all the locations are amazing for seeing and running. I think we’re all so missing travel
I agree. Any place right now sounds fun and exciting. 😁😜
We had a few of the same places on both our lists – great minds think alike!
Greece would be an awesome place to run – I’m adding that one to my list.
Hopefully soon we can travel again!
Sounds like you & Darlene & I need to plan a world running tour. Every place you mentioned is on my bucket list as well!
Let’s do it!
I definitely would love to run in the great continent of Africa! I can pretty much find happiness anywhere I run, so I’m down for anything!
We should plan a trip for all of us to go.
The NY Marathon was the most memorable city marathon I have ever run. The crowds, the atmosphere…. just amazing. I hope you get to do that one day, Zenaida.
If ever you and Darlene meet up in Paris, let me know! I’ll join you! We’re so close but I have never run there.
Oh that will be fun to meet up in Paris!
I’ve been lucky to run quite a bit in Hawaii — but not race. Not yet. Would love to go to Italy. I’ve been to Greece, and that was a fantastic trip — but 25 years ago — long before I was a runner!
I would love to go to Africa. I think I would be very intimidated to run there, though.
I went to Paris quite a few years ago, back when Mr. Judy traveled a lot, but I wasn’t a runner then either. I had a great time though! I got to go everywhere while he had to go to work. 🙂
I am sure those were fun trip!
Definitely. Super fun! Although one had unusually hot temps, no tradewinds, no AC, I got seasick for the first time . . . still a fond memory. 🙂
I have run in NYC a few times and it’s always an adventure! I have also been lucky enough to have a few runs in Italy hope you make it there for a run sometime
I also have been to NYC a few times but never for running. Can you believe I’ve never been to Central Park?
