This week’s Tuesday Topic is: Share your favorite running item(s) you’ve tried this year. You can write about this topic or feel free to post any running related blog post. Remember to link up with Kim and Zenaida! Visit at least two of the other linked posts – the more the merrier! Remember to come back for later linkers!
So some of these items are not new but they’re still some of my favorite to use for running.
KT Performance+ by KT Tape Anti Chafing Stick – I bought this after I ran out of the one I was using before (and I wan’t too crazy about it). It is easy to apply, does not stain, and there is no smell.
SportSuds Laundry Detergent – I know I have written about this before but seriously I LOVE this detergent for my running clothes. I’ve been using it for over a year and my clothes do not smell at all.
Smartwool Women’s PhD Run Ultra Light – I wear both these and Balega socks. I am not too crazy about extra cushion so these thin socks are perfect. They’re moisture-wicking and odor-neutralizing so I find myself wearing them 2 or 3 times before they go in the hamper.
Oiselle Pocket Jogger Shorts – I mostly wear these during a long run. But now I love them even more because the pockets hold my two small water bottles.
Any you used any of these items?
These Oiselle shorts with the pockets look good! ALL running shorts should have as many pockets as possible.
I like your thought about wearing socks a few times before throwing them in the wash. Mine automatically go in the hamper with the rest of my running clothes but next time I’ll try your idea, Zenaida!
I do love the pockets. Now I need to find tights with pockets too for my water. However, not in a rush since I won’t need them till Winter. I am not ready for it.
Nope. I haven’t tried any. Thanks for the share. I only wear skirts and what Catrina said. I automatically throw my socks in the hamper. I do rewear other things.
Interesting. I won’t rewear other things but socks I will. 🙂
I love my SmartWool socks! I prefer the cushioned ones for long runs (or races), but their socks have long been my preferred brand. I can’t put things in my pockets unless they’re compression “bike shorts” or else the shorts won’t stay up on me (even with a drawstring) LOL.
Maybe a smaller size might help? I have them in 2 different sizes and the smaller ones do hold up better (at least until the bottles are empty or close to empty).
I saw that KT tape had a new anti chafe-need to try that one next time!
I had never seen it till I saw it on Amazon.
I haven’t tried any of those products — although I DO like cushioning in my socks. I love my pockets, of course, there’s always a water bottle in one (at least). 🙂
I am in the minority group with the cushioned socks. 🙂
A good pair of socks is a must! I love my Balega socks. They are my favorite to work out in.
And one can never have too many socks!
I didn’t know that KT Tape made a Chafe stick – I will have to give that a try!
Yes, try it. I found it on Amazon.
I am hooked on SportSuds too! And I love my smart wool socks! I stock up when REI is having a good sale.
Right now I have about 6 pairs and found them a bit cheaper on Amazon and Zappos.
i haven’t tried any of these, but I’m eyeing those shorts. i might have to try them. i use Hex detergent which also works well to get rid of odors- but I might check out SportSuds sometime- it sounds good.
Do try it! I know you will love it too.
I’ve actually never used any of these items (don’t think they are even available here!) BUT I would definitely use them if given the chance! Wow, they look so useful and handy! I have long tights that come with pockets but none of my shorts do – would love that!
I don’t have any tights with pockets but now for sure will be looking for them. Not anytime soon since I have no need for them now and am not in a rush for Winter to get here.
I also love those Oiselle pocket jogger shorts!!! Just bought a new pair.
Can you have too many? I have about 7 pairs.
