I am doing NaBloPoMo this month. 30 blog posts in 30 days. Come join me. #nablopomo2022

Thursday after work I went to pick up my mom and then went to Walgreens to get the flu shot.  I took a Tylenol before going to bed and woke up feeling fine on Friday morning.  However, later in the day I felt awful.  I was hot, had a fever, and felt really tired.  My coworker gave me a Tylenol and felt better about 2 hours later.  I don’t remember feeling that bad last year.

This was me resting in a chair when my students were in art/STEAM class.

Then on my way home, I was less than 10 minutes away, someone rear ended me.  I was fine and nothing major happened to the car.  I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later.  I’ve had my car for 2 years and that was my first (and hopefully last) car accident.

Earlier I stopped at Target and saw this cute Starbucks mug.  I was tempted to get it but didn’t because I have many mugs at home.  Now I regret not getting it.  I mean, it is my birthday month so I should get it right?  Next time I go to Target I will buy it.

  1. Are you going to participate in San’s Mug Swap? If you do, maybe you should send THAT mug if it’s speaking to you like this!

  2. OMG, I LOVE THIS MUG. The color, the size, the form. I would have bought it in an instant and I am not an impulse shopper.

I am sorry to hear you had a reaction to your flu shot. I got mine earlier this week, too and I didn’t have anything…. but I know some people do. I am glad the Tylenol took care of it! And I am sorry about the accident, but I am super-glad everybody is ok!

  3. Sorry you got sick from the vaccine but much better than getting the flu or giving the flu to someone else.

That is a cool mug. Get it!

  4. Ha ha, I love that mug!!! I’m fighting off the urge to run out to Target and look for it- I have way too many mugs as it is.
UGH! Car accidents are the worst. I’m glad you and the car are okay. And I hope you’re enjoying your weekend- you need a nice break.

  5. Sorry you felt under the weather after the flu shot. Luckily I always feel fine after a vaccine. Even the covid shots didn’t make me sick and I am glad to hear nothing bad happened in the accident. I would have been tempted by that mug, too. I don’t go to starbucks usually but I do like their mugs. That one in particular is so pretty!

  6. Lucky there was no major damage to your car when it was rear-ended. That is a really nice mug. Gorgeous colour.

  7. Ugh, sorry you had a reaction to the flu vaccine. I got my Covid booster + flu shot at the same time and felt very grateful that I didn’t have a reaction, just a sore arm.

That mug is cute! I hope you went back and bought it. 🙂

    • I got both last year on the same day and do not remember having any reaction. Maybe if I would have gotten both this year then maybe I would have been fine. 😀

  8. That is a very cute mug, you should definitely treat yourself. It will look lovely in your new house! Sorry about your reaction to the flu shot. I got mine on Sunday and worried that I might feel crummy on Monday, but I got off easy this time, not even a sore arm.

Next week I’m getting my second shingles vaccine. I’m a little more worried about that one!
