If we were having coffee…
I’d tell you that I do not like how dark it is in the morning. I know I’ve mentioned how I enjoy running in the dark, but I am not running anymore. Well, at least not like before. I want some sunshine. It is 5:30am right now and it is still dark outside.
The photo below is from a few years ago
If we were having coffee…
I’d tell you that these weeks have flown by. Progress grades are due next week. How? I am still working through some kinks with my students. It is stressing me out that I need to enter these grades for school. I am also very tired.
If we were having coffee…
I’d tell you that even though I will not my meet my goal of running/walking 2,024 miles this year, I signed up again for next year. Crazy? I need a goal or some motivation. Marathons are out of the equation but I want to focus on half marathons. Next year I am running the Fargo Half Marathon in South Dakota and need a few more states to run in.
If we were having coffee…
I’d tell you that I may not be running everyday, but I have been either walking or running or BOTH since June 28th. I may have “cheated” a few times in logging in a quarter mile or even less, but it is still a walk. It counts!
If we were having coffee…
I’d ask you if you saw the video of when my school was featured on TV. I wasn’t planning to be at school that early (7am) but am glad I made it happen. I am on the left side next to a woman with a pink shirt. You can see me for a few seconds because then I moved to the front to take a picture.
The topic for next week’s Fit Fit Friday – 5 things you’ll never do as a runner. Feel free to write about this or any fitness topic you’d like. We hope you’ll link up with us!
How fun to have your school featured on TV! It is hard to believe you have to turn in grades already.
I missed why you are not running so much?
These past few weeks I have been exhausted and have no energy or desire to run. Plus, I am still dealing with plantar fasciitis and now have some knee pain and discomfort in the hip area.
It doesn’t get light here until about 6:45!!! I hate it! Let’s turn the clocks back already!
Wow, the school year really is in full swing. It does seem early for progress grades though. Good luck with it. And, I like your optimism in signing up for 2025 in 2025- why not?
This is our 5th week of school. The weeks are going too fast and I feel like I haven’t accomplished much.
I’m really not looking forward to it getting all dark in the morning again. :'(
I need to get better about walking for longer periods of time on a more regular basis. 2025 miles in 2025 is definitely a sizable amount! You got this!!
Thanks for the vote of confidence!
The lack of morning light is the only downside of the Fall for me.
Crazy to think that you have grades to submit already! Time is flying…
Wowza on the 2,025 miles goal – go big or go home, right?! 🙂 Good luck with it!
I need something (as if my health isn’t a good reason) for motivation. Next year I will continue with my walking/running every day.
Agreed! It’s far too dark in the mornings & the evenings are getting dark as well. Not my gig!!!
I am enjoying the cooler weather. 🙂
Not a fan of dark mornings either. I must have missed something-I thought you were training for Chicago? Did you get injured?
I was training for the marathon. I stopped because I was constantly tired, still dealing with plantar fasciitis, and some knee pain. Recently, I have been experiencing some discomfort/pain in the hip area.
not a fan of running in the dark… I may transition into after work running esp once the temps cool down.
Walking everyday is a great goal.
I am enjoying my walks much more now!
I don’t mind the sun coming up a little later… so I can catch a few more sunrises but pitch dark at 5:30 or 6 is not great!
The sunrises are beautiful!
Like everyone else is asking, what happened that you can’t run Chicago? I thought you’d won an entry into the marathon through your school system. I hope you’re not injured too badly – sounds like you’re still running some, though?
I am mentally and physically exhausted – I blame it on work. I am still dealing with plantar fasciitis. I also have some pain in my knee and some discomfort in my hip.
Is there a way we can help motivate you? I know it can be hard, but I’m happy to help with accountability or anything you might need!
I hope you are able to get the grades in and move on
Thanks so much! I think this will pass once I start feeling better.
I am not a fan of the growing darkness either. So depressing. How fun to have your school featured on TV!
I do like the weather!
