Weekly Mileage-46.jpg

Hey there!  I hope you all had a great week.  Last week I wrote about how I did not feel well.  I didn’t get a cold and I feel so much better.  Maybe I just needed to rest?  I have a race in two weeks and I absolutely cannot get sick.

MONDAY: 4.01 MILES
I don’t remember too much about this run.  I just know I did run.

WEDNESDAY:  4.33 miles
I wanted to do 10×400 intervals with 400m recovery.  I did 8 and each recovery was less than 1/4 mile.  Felt good but got tired towards the end.  This rarely happens but my Garmin showed the mileage as the treadmill.  I was actually shocked.

THURSDAY: 1.24 MILES
It was not my day at the gym.  I wanted to run 4 miles but got to the gym late.  I started watching “Narcos Mexico” but honestly could not even get excited about it.  Also, I need to wake up earlier since I’ve noticed that it takes me a little bit longer to get out of the house.

Two more weeks till the Publix Atlanta Half Marathon.  I am excited but also nervous about it.  While I am not 100% ready/trained for it, I am more ready for it than I was for the Detroit Free Press Half Marathon.  The goal is to finish it.  It will be state #43 for me.

Overall not my best week.  Since I didn’t do a long run this weekend, the plan is to do it tomorrow morning.  A little off schedule but that is OK.  Also, I have an appointment with my agent to see a house so cross your fingers that it goes well.

How was your week?  Anyone planning to go to Atlanta to spectate the Olympic Trials and/or run the half or marathon?  A friend of mine was planning to go and share the hotel cost but now cannot make it anymore.  Let me know if you want to share a room.

Linking up with Kim and Deborah for the Weekly Run Down.

  1. I hope it goes well with the house viewing! Sounds exciting!
Yes, go for the Atlanta half-marathon, even if you don’t feel properly trained. You can always do walk/run intervals if needed.
Have fun with your long run!

    • I did not like the house at all. Ugh! I don’t understand how some sellers don’t clean and/or fix it up a little before showing it to potential buyers. Maybe I am too picky but I am looking for a house that needs minimal or no work done to it. I will make sure to have a great experience in Atlanta!

  2. That’s exciting that you are planning to do the half in Atlanta! I think it will be a nice place to run. Hope the house viewing is successful!

  3. Yay, a good week of running! I roll my eyes at my Garmin/treadmill differences and just go by what the treadmill says. State 43 is a big deal. Hope you have a good run today and that the house viewing goes well.

  4. Sorry your friend isn’t able to make Atlanta. That’s disappointing. I am sure next week will be a better week for you.

Definitely crossing my fingers for a good showing! Keep us posted!

    • I am going to cancel my hotel reservation and share a room with another runner that is also going to Atlanta. At least now the hotel cost won’t be too much and I won’t be alone the whole weekend. I don’t mind being alone but sometimes it is nice to have some company.

  5. I think I missed that you are running Atlanta. Even without being fully trained for the half, I’m sure the whole trip will be fun!

  6. I didn’t know you were doing the Atlanta half. So cool! I have to admit, I am somewhat jealous. I have friends going to the race too. Have fun!

  7. I hope the house is great AND you can find a roomate. Alas I have done GA, plus can’t get away right now anyway (not to mention the airfare would kill me at this late date!).

I sometimes get really, really run down, and all I need is a bit more rest. Sounds like that’s what happened to you!

    • Thumbs down to the house. I did not like it at all. It needs a lot of work and I am not willing to do that. Minor things yes but nothing major. I did find someone else to share a room with. I am going to cancel my reservation and share a room with someone else.

      • I am sorry about the house. At some point, with any house, work will have to be done.

That’s great that you find someone to enjoy the race with! I hope you have a fantastic time!

  8. Hope your long run went well (yesterday?). House hunting is fun, but stressful! Our son made an offer on a condo last week…so the hunt is over, now it’s all the other “stuff” to sort through LOL

    • Congrats to your son! House hunting is stressful and I am getting tired of it. Sometimes I just want to buy a new construction house and get what I want but those houses are out in the suburbs. I am not willing to move out there since I prefer to live in the city.

  9. whoah! my garmin and the treadmill are NEVER the same! that’s like a once in a lifetime thing! haha!

maybe you were just tired! our bodies are odd; just when we think we know them, something else happens!

excited to hear about the house hunting!! we are thinking about a new place too…

    • Thanks, Wendy! I keep telling myself that because I want to be positive but at the same time we also doubt ourselves. I know that no matter what happens, it will be a great weekend.

Thank you for your comment!
