Runners have a basket or baskets full of recovery tools. We need them. These tools help us feel better and recover faster. Below are the ones I have on hand.
➡️ Massage Gun Deep Tissue Percussion Muscle Massager–I’ve had mine for three years now. I’ve used it on my mom and my coworkers. Lola even likes it! It is easy to use, quiet, cordless, and rechargeable.
➡️ R3 foot roller-This hurts but helps with plantar fasciitis.
➡️ Ryson Foot Roller Massage Ball for Relief Plantar Fasciitis–Another tool for plantar fasciitis.
➡️ HoMedics® Therapist Select Foot & Calf Massager-This was gifted to my mom by two of my sisters. I use it more than than she does. I love it!
What I really want are Compression Recovery Boots. But I think that with what I already have should be enough.

It’s nice that there are so many options for recovery tools these days! The recovery boots really have made their place known. When I had my knee surgery (June 2017), there were similar “boots” they had on my legs for the first night in the hospital (my surgery had been late in the afternoon)…they felt kind of freaky, but also quite nice!
I think if I get “more serious” about running, then I will splurge on a pair.

You’ve got quite an arsenal of tools there! I don’t think I’ve seen a foot can calf massager like that before – that would definitely come in handy in my house!

I love my massage gun. I did use compression boots after my marathon. It was great. But I doubt I would spend the money on them.
If I ever get more serious about running then I might splurge.
I’m seeing massage guns on a lot of people’s lists as favorite recovery tools. We got one for our son and d-i-l for Christmas last year and they really like it. I think we need to get one for ourselves!
