Happy Sunday! I hope you had a great week with your family. I had a great time and ate so much these past couple of days. It was all yummy but not good for my waist. 🙁
How is it that we are in December? November did go by fast and I am sure December will too. I will be in school 3 weeks and then will have Winter Break.
I did not run a lot in November.

For some reason I did not feel good this week. I was sneezing a lot. For sure I thought I would get sick but I didn’t. Could it be allergies? I remember my doctor telling me that as one gets older, they can get allergies.
Monday morning I ran 3 miles. I forgot to delete my records last week but remembered to do it on Monday. Happy with my fast mile.
I did not run on Tuesday but saw a beautiful sunrise.

My coach moved a few workouts because I did not feel good. I was exhausted Tuesday and Wednesday. Due to the changes I ended up running on Thanksgiving. It was a fun workout. It was 3 miles warmup and 6×1 minute intervals with 1 minute recovery, then another mile or so to end with 5 miles. I got 2 badges!
Another record for me. Boy, I have a lot of work to do. 🙂

Something happened with my left foot. The top left side began to bother me. I was supposed to run 6 miles on Saturday but didn’t because of my foot. Plus it was raining and I did not want to run in the rain. 😜
It felt somewhat better on Sunday but I didn’t make it to one mile. It hurt! I went back home and sent a text to my couch. He said it was probably due to a tight calf and tendon. I thought it was my shoes and decided to retire my Brooks Ghost 11 with 335 miles. I was hoping to make it to 400 miles. How cute are my new Oiselle tights?
My coach had me do 60 minutes (20 minutes easy followed by 4 x 5 minutes fast, 5 minutes easy). That is the longest I have been on the bike! I thought it would be bored but I wasn’t. 😜 I biked through several cities by the sea and watched TV.
Do you have allergies? Did you have them as a kid or “recently”?
Linking up with Kim and Deborah for the Weekly Run Down.

I hope that is nothing serious with your foot!
I had terrible allergies when I was 30ish. Allergic to pollen and certain types of food (grain, eggs, celery and other random stuff). It came out of nowhere and I felt tired all the time, had swollen eyes and rashes on my skin. I did a desensitization therapy and it disappeared. Since then, I am fine. It was like a miracle.

Another injury is really the last thing I want right now. Hopefully it is just minor. Thank you.
·
I do not suffer with allergies, knock on wood, but I know that you can get them at any point in life. Mr. Judy has terrible allergies. Has always had them.
I hope that your foot continues to improve. Damn feet!

If it isn’t one thing then it is something else. The life of runners!

I had seasonal allergies as a kid (hay fever), but they got progressively worse as I got older. Several years ago, we underwent a major renovation in our house, and I was a mess…not just sinus-related, but big time skin problems. Numerous allergy tests revealed a few weird skin allergies and many other allergies (I think there were 32 things they tested me for, and I reacted to maybe 30 of them). So, after almost 5 years of weekly allergy shots, I’m pretty much in the clear now…but cats, pollen and dust were the biggest ones on there LOL
·
5 years of weekly allergy shots? Wow! So far I haven’t shown signs of being allergic to cats. What would I do without my babies?
·
my allergies have actually gotten better with age but it could also be where I live now. My allergies were horrendous in New Mexico for some reason and not much better when I was in Portland.
maybe it is something strained that made your foot hurt! hopefully it’s just kind of a one off thing and doesn’t last!
Here’s to a great December and hopefully more running for you!
·
I hope it isn’t anything serious either! Ugh, who wants another injury?!?!?
·
I don’t have allergies but when I’m around anything that’s in abundance–dust, pollen, you name it, I do get a little stuffy. Right now, I’m dealing with a hoarse voice that will not quit. My doctor thought it was allergies until she examined me. Now I’m off to the ENT. They are doing construction at my office and I truly think it’s due to that. But we’ll see what I find out.
Hope your foot feels better.
·
Thanks, Wendy. I hope it feels better soon too. I ran 3 miles on Monday and it was OK. The rest of the day was OK too. It is just weird that it started to hurt just like that.
·
Hope the foot feels better soon!
·
Thank you!

Thanksgiving was not good for my waist line either, LOL. Oh well, the holidays only come around once, right?!
Sorry that you didn’t feel well this week 🙁 It could definitely be allergies as I have them year round and I also suffered a little this week.
I hope that your foot feels better soon. Hopefully switching out sneakers will help.
·
Thanks, Kim. So weird about all of the sneezing and feeling tired. Could be age too! 🙂 Haha!!
·
Hope your foot feels better soon. Is that the same one that you had PF? Thanks for linking up
·
Thanks. Yes it is. Can you believe it?
·
I didn’t get allergies until my 30s and I was a mess for a while. I’m not really sure what made it better. There are still times of the year, like the transition to spring and then the transition to fall, where I feel like I have a low grade cold, I’m not really sick but I sure am tired and sneeze a lot. I enjoyed my Thanksgiving Garmin badges as well. I’m going to reset my all of my records at the beginning of the year.
·
Oh that is a good idea about resetting them at the beginning of the year! I did it last week because I am working with a new coach.
·
Hope your foot is on the mend soon
My allergies have gotten worse over the last decade or so. For me if I machine gun sneeze, it’s allergies. One is a cold
·
Thanks. The sneezing happens every couple of days and it is multiple sneezes. That also happens when I have a cold or am about to get one. However, no cold for me (yet).
·
I had bad hay fever when I was younger. It has almost disappeared.
Damn feet!
Hope yours is better.
Mine has put my running in hold. Pain on the ball of my foot when I run or even walk. Ugh!!
·
Oh no Darlene! I saw your post on Instagram about your foot. Hope it feels better soon.
·
Yeah. It’s a big bummer.
·
I hope your foot issue is nothing serious! I developed an allergy to cats as a teen (and I loved cats 🙁 I’m not “officially” allergic to anything else but I swear I can feel it when mold and pollen counts are high.
·
I will start paying attention as to when I sneeze. Obviously it is something around me. I know I am not allergic to cats – I hope not!!
·
Hope your foot feels better this week! I never had allergies as a kid but they’ve definitely gotten worse as I’ve gotten older.
·
Thank you!
